Weddings, Funerals & Celebrations

Baptismal FontEvery time we come together in community is a special time of gathering here at St. John’s Perth. We celebrate the love of God through a risen Saviour in times of great happiness and in times of great sorrow. It is our coming together for support, prayer and Eucharist that defines us as a Roman Catholic community. It is our going out from the Lord’s table into the world for service that defines us as Christian.

Each of the resource documents requires Adobe Reader which is commonly installed on almost every computer. Many of documents were designed to be printed out in a pamphlet, so you may have to print it and place it back to back to get the complete effect. Unless otherwise indicated, these pamphlets come from the Archdiocese of Kingston or from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB).

Meals and Prayer Times

Many parishoners meet regularly for prayer in the Church. Before each weekday mass it is not unusual to hear the Rosary being prayed or the Angelus recited as the church bell chimes the noon hour. Most families take a moment to say a short prayer before meals and many regularly pray what is known as The Office or Liturgy of the Hours. Each Tuesday we meet as a community for a special time of adoration and prayer with the Exposition and Benediction which begins after the 9:00 AM Mass. Baptisms
