NET Team Arrives …

The NET Team has arrived here at St. John’s and at St. Francis de Sales in Smiths Falls.

NET stands for National Evangelization Teams. They are Catholic Missionaries who share Jesus’ gospel message with young people in a team format. NET Ministries of Canada challenge young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. NET Canada recruits and trains teams to evangelize to over 28,000 youth every year in churches, schools, dioceses, and school boards across Canada and Ireland.

NET’s mission, to challenge young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church, is accomplished by:

The NET TeamOur churches are not as full as we would like them to be, vibrant young people who want to share their faith are stepping out and volunteering to share the gospel message with us.

These times of complexity, God wants all of us to make a difference in the lives of others by repairing a broken world…repairing a broken heart. This can simply be done through grace and acts of charity. Sharing Jesus’ love with others. Our NET volunteers do just that.

The members of our NET team will be introduced at the Masses at St. John’s on the weekend of October 11th and at St. Francis on October 18th. A Special Welcoming Mass will take place at 6:30 PM at St. Francis de Sales in Smiths Falls on Sunday, October 18th with Archbishop Brendan O’Brien as the celebrant.
