R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation)
Members of the parish have over the years become familiar with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA): we convene the process in the third week of September, and during August we begin seeking out interested candidates. This year we would like to emphasize the nature of the first part call the Inquiry. It is just that, people inquiring about the Catholic faith. There is no obligation to continue with the second part which is made up of those candidates intending to become Catholic.
The evenings are informal with a set program. The reason we have stressed the inquiry, is to encourage people who are not Catholic to attend and find out if this is something you may be interested in pursuing. At the same time there is a mutual understanding that should you feel you are not ready to continue, the ensuing commitment is not expected of you.
